Sales and prices of residential properties
continue to climb along the Grand Strand as demand eats up availability,
reports Colin Burch of the Sun News.
Tom Maeser, president of a local real estate school states,
Its a healthy market for sellers right now, a little
tougher for buyers as sales surpass the number of listings.
Maeser continues, Although sellers will not find buyers
if they inflate prices suddenly, some folks who looked at a property
last year have taken a look again this year only to find,
in some cases, price increases up to $20,000.
Phil Cox, Broker-in-Charge of Resort Vacation Services
at the Myrtle Beach Resort, echoes Maesers observations.
Our staff is working harder to find listings than they
are to sell condos. There is a waiting list for those that have
good ocean views. Because the mortgage interest rates are still
favorable, its still a good time to buy. For more
